First few days

Starting a new “blog” has in itself been an experience for me. Which means the first 15+ days were spent writing up notes but not understanding how to get them on the page. Hopefully that has been successful completed and from here on out I will be able to give you updates in real time. But as for the past few days of the adventure let me get you caught up.

The trip so far has been breathtaking. We have traveled from Tacoma, Washington, caught up with Tom and Chris on Miner’s Debt and spent the night at the Deception Pass State Park.

It is a very nice dock. No power but well maintained and lots of room. If you have a Washington State Park pass, then the stay is free. It was a quick pass through the US San Juans. Stopped and cleared Canadian customs at Bedwell Harbour on Pender Island.

First night in Canada was at Montague Harbour on Galiano Island. The Hummingbird pub bus was not up and going however, if you never have been it is a must do. I promise you that it will be a lifelong memory. So much fun and good food at the end of the ride. https://hummingbirdpub.com/home/pub-bus/

We scooted past Nanaimo, picked up Greg and Martha on Wanetta and Greg and Leslie on Butterduck along the way.

The boats are two beautiful 40-foot Ocean Alexader’s.

Our next stop was Garden Bay. In the two days spent there we had the spectacular opportunity to be able to catch the Northern Lights,

caught both shrimp and crab. Also had a wonderful dinner gathering at the SYC outstation hosted by Linda and Mike on Kotare.
