Ketchikan – On Revillagigedo Island, it is the state’s most southeastern major port. Downtown Ketchikan is a National Historic Landmark District. Arriving next to the enormous cruise ships was a exciting experience. It made me wonder what it was like to visit here prior to the influx of cruise ships.
Our stay was two nights as we waited out the rain, 2.5 inches in 24 hours, and the wind. I will never complain about Western Washington rain after watching it rain in Ketchikan.
